Bespoke Logo Animations | Various
A collection of logo’s I’ve animated in both 2D and 3D.
Buzz Speaker Hire - Logo animation
I was privileged to do this logo animation for Buzz Speaker Hire. Setting up some of the coolest gigs in Sydney these guys are the best in town when it comes to anything Audio, Video and Lighting for live entertainment. From personal experience the Buzz crew have always been the real deal going above and beyond every time we’ve done a party.
Using the symbolic elements of the logo, the record and lightning bolt tell a story to bring this bad boy to life, conveying both the idea that is encapsulated in the logo and the personality of the brand which is best described by owners Brendon and Andy by the words Fun, Family & Energetic.
This was a tonne of fun to make, I had my usual amateur crack at the sound too, I hope you enjoy.

Voyager Supply & Decoration - Logo Animation
The logo animation is important as it gives us some ‘motion DNA’ to create the rest of the animated collateral. The visual and audio elements of this logo animation have been designed to represent both what the business does as well as the essence of the brand.
The morphing letter forms with colour wipes represents the process of screen printing, shape by shape, colour by colour. The 3x Voyager primary brand colours that wipe across the morphing shapes represent the 3x Voyager Service Categories respectively: Green for Branded Apparel, Yellow for Screen Printing and Burgandy for Embroidery.
The animated lines following the letter outlines represent the quantitative process of measurements, calculations and alignments with all decorative services performed by Voyager.
The audio component talks to the theme of the brand which is defined by “Manufacturing Meets Culture’ by mixing a hip hop beat with a ‘mechanical’ dubstep rif and sound effects.

SOM Sound | ‘Make It Squishy’ 3D Logo Animation
And then God said:
‘Let There Be Sound! But, Make It Squishy…’
This assignment was called Make It Squishy and involved using ’soft body dynamics’ in Cinema4D to create a logo animation for SOM Sound, the School of Motion’s very own brand of electronic sound products, (well supposedly). To add to the fun, I made the sound mix to lead the animation. Using Cinema 4D’s live physics simulation, I learnt how to prepare objects to behave and interact in some very oh so squishy ways, in real time.
The assignment was part of the course Cinema 4D Ascent by School of Motion that I did over 8 weeks over the summer (Jan + Feb 2025) while the advertising industry was still in it’s usual sleepy summer holiday mode. Big thanks to my teaching assistant and classmates who provided feedback to help me get this project to where it is now.
So, can sound be squishy?

The Screamfest Halloween Festival 3D Logo Animation
The logo animation was the first key visual asset to be created and released to the public. It was also the most used asset in the whole campaign. The video shown below displays the ‘write on’ and ‘Centred’ logo animation over the Key Visual Poster Background which is how the logo animation was first presented publicly as the ‘Logo Animation Teaser’, however there were a number of different variations of the logo animation that were also used and the logo animation was used over many different backgrounds throughout the campaign.
I was given the Screamfest Halloween Festival 3D logo one connected 3D object which I separated and arranged accordingly to create the logo animation in Cinema 4D. The ‘red goo’ around the letters I recreated and applied a displacer deformer with animating noise driving the displacement to give it a ‘ blood curdling’ vibe. The ‘red goo’ melts on first from left to right / top to bottom and the actual letters then push through the goo slightly later in time. The individual letters and their ‘red goo’ counterparts oscilate vertically independant of each other while the screamfest Halloween Festival logotype as a whole oscilates horrizontally. The characters of the date line animate on separately and each letter bounces in vertical scale while rotating independently of one another. Finally 2 flickering jackolanterns, two bats and a skull with glowing eyes emerge from behind the logotype to join in the fun as they playout their respective animated loops.

Bacardi Graveyard Stage - Front Truss LED Screen - Logo Animation Loop
This looping logo animation was played live continuously on the Front Truss LED Screen (4m x 0.5m) above the stage at Screamfest Halloween Festival. The challenge in creating these animated backdrops was to achieve a balance whereby there was enough visual interest and engagement while also carefully not taking attention off the performers on stage. Most importantly the animation needed to reflect the theme and capture the vibe of the Graveyard Stage to contribute to a fully cohesive experience for the crowd, while also satisfying brand requirements of the sponsor Bacardi. Overall a very fulfilling piece to work on, it felt great to create something that added to the vibe on the night.
Ivy Thursdays - Neon Arcade - Logo Animation
I designed and animated the Ivy Thursdays Logo in the style of the Neon Arcade theme and and 80s retro futuristic gamified vibe. The pulsating laser grid at the bottom inspired by the 80s classic move Tron. I created the ‘neon tube’ elements draw on and flicker. I also designed and animated the ‘10 years of’ in the same style with ‘neon tube’ elements drawing on and flickering while the fill of the number 10 resembles ‘noise’ from glitchy pixels. The logo animation loops via a jump into hyperspace as was a trend back in the 80s as seen in early Star Wars movies.

Animated Key Visual for live display on LED Screens in venue
After creating the static key visual, animating the wavey/glitchy background proved a challenging task, hence much was learnt in the process. The animated key visual was used both for other video advertising collateral as well as purely for entertainment value in video assets provided for the VJ’s to project up on the large screens inside the venue infront, behind and above the dj booth facing the crowd. Videos were provided various portrait and landscape formats for their bespoke screen configuration, the largest of them being their ceiling high 4x6m main screen. I also created bespoke glitch logo animations for their Ivy Thursdays logo which were used across video assets in the campaign and provied to the VJs on isolated layers with transparency to layer it over whatever they choose.
Fletcher Property Group - Logo Animation
This was a great opportunity to combine 3D and 2D animation in the same world as the castle icon starts off as a shiny gold 3D object as it spins around then lands in position while transitioning into a flat 2D object. The gold gives an aura of prestige while the particles and radial blur give an air of mystery at the same time. The logo animation is created to with a wipe transition which enables the logo animation to easily be accompanied by footage before or after it.
Opera Bar: Live Music Daily - Logo Animation
I was engaged by Opera Bar (Solotel) to rebrand their “Live Music Daily” event artwork with a new logo which I designed and animated for them as part of a digital ‘Live Music Daily’ schedule artwork that fit into the branding of the venue. The animation’s purposed for both their instagram stories and on-site screens showcased the schedule of various live acts they had playing everyday which was updated on a weekly basis. I came up with the original concept and designed and illustrated all elements to align with the brands look and feel.

The Roosevelt - Logo Animation
I was commissioned by The Roosevelt bar in Sydney to create a suite of animated assets including this logo animation which gives an aura of prestige about the venue.
