I created this fun little animation loop from the financial sector to wish everyone new opportunities to grow in the new financial year. The inspiration for the animation came from a series of explainer videos that I created for a client in the FinTech space.

The aim was to create a simple yet sophisticated aesthetic that helps bring clarity to complex financial and tech concepts, and feels right at home in the FinTech space. I developed a modern and minimal visual style in Illustrator before applying some sleek and snappy 2D motion in After Effects, then bringing it to life with sound in Premiere. 

Colour plays an important and intentional role here though minimal in application. The teal green depicts success, in the first scene only the cuff of the cursor hand is teal green and acts as the instigator of positive change entering the scene and clicking the button. Then in the second scene we have multiple applications of teal green as clients say ‘Yes’, signifying a business building momentum with client approval. Finally in the third scene the whole background is teal green portraying full business success.

The kinetic typography in the tagline ‘Fast, Focused, Flexible’ involves intentional motion where each word behaves as the word intends. This controlled application gives weight to the words in a playful way, as well as earning attention from the dramatic rocket scene in a complimentary way.
